Our research group in the Department of Neurology at the University Hospital Zurich is dedicated to investigating the enhancement of sleep depth through acoustic stimulation in patients with neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Parkinson's disease and prodromal stages of Alzheimer's disease. For this purpose, we use an innovative biomedical device that enables users to record sleep electroencephalography (EEG) independently at home and to deepen sleep processes through precisely timed acoustic stimuli (https: //www.sleeploop.ch/) .
The aim of our studies is to determine whether this enhancement of sleep can support learning processes in rehabilitation for Parkinson's disease and other conditions such as stroke, or even slow neurodegenerative processes through long-term application.
The Study Technician will support our team in various ongoing and planned clinical studies.
